Hotel PR and trade media placement

Links from the sector are what make your pages rank, and coverage in the trade is what makes a corporate booker take the call. One article a month in Prensa Hotelera or the in-house media network, one third-party appearance a quarter, and press releases for every milestone worth one.

The refurbishment nobody heard about

You spent six figures on the rooms, changed the chef, opened the terrace — and the only place it was announced was your own Instagram. Meanwhile the portals rank above you because they have the links, and the trade press writes about the chains that send them a note.

PR & Media

One trade article a month

A piece placed in Prensa Hotelera or the in-house media network: an angle worth reading, your name on it, and a link back to the page it should feed.

A third-party appearance each quarter

Coverage outside our own network — travel, business or regional press — because authority that only comes from one house is not authority.

Press releases for every milestone

Refurbishment, new chef, new season, an award, an opening. Written and distributed properly, not pasted into a newsletter.

The director as a source

Positioning your management as someone journalists call for a quote on occupancy, ADR or the season. Slow, and worth more than any single article.

Reporting on mentions, links and authority

What was published, what linked, and how domain authority moved. Tied back to the pages the links were meant to lift.

How it runs

  1. 01

    01 · Find the story

Every hotel has three: what changed, what it knows that others do not, and what the season is doing to it. We go looking before inventing.

  2. 02

02 · Write it for the outlet

Trade press wants numbers and operations. Travel press wants a reason to visit. The same milestone gets written twice, differently.

  3. 03

    03 · Place and link

Placement with the link pointed at the page that needs it — usually a pillar page, not the home.

  4. 04

    04 · Reuse

Coverage becomes a newsletter item, a LinkedIn post and a line in the sales deck. Publishing once and forgetting it is where PR budgets go to die.

What changes

  • Trade links raise the pages that carry your direct-booking searches.

  • A corporate or MICE buyer finds third-party coverage before the call.

  • Milestones get announced instead of quietly happening.

  • Domain authority moves for a reason you can point at.

Questions

Is Prensa Hotelera your own outlet?

Yes, and we say so. It is a Media + Labs title and we never present a placement there as third-party coverage — that is why the plan also commits to one outside appearance each quarter.

Do you buy links?

No. Bought links are a short-lived way to lose the rankings you paid for. Placements are earned with a piece somebody wanted to publish.

What if we have no news?

Then the story is operational: what the season is doing, what you changed about breakfast, how the channel mix moved. Trade press runs on that more than on ribbon-cuttings.

Can you guarantee a specific outlet?

No, and be careful with anyone who does. We commit to the cadence — one trade article a month, one third-party appearance a quarter — not to a masthead.
